To write an independent restaurant guide for Moraira and it’s surrounding area could take a lifetime. Some call it the gastronomic centre of the Costa Blanca.  There are literally hundreds to choose from and to suit all pockets. Famous, infamous, you name it, we have it all. Here is some information about Restaurants in Moraira personally tried by me. There are many restaurants in Moraira in have not yet tried, so please become a member of the site for updates.

*LAS VEGAS  TEULADA  96574 0341  Low Price. Tapas available
Menu del dia €12-18   (incl wine) if you arrive before 2pm for lunch. Don’t confuse with the Las Vegas in Moraira which is a late bar. This one is in the Spanish town of Teulada at the top of Moraira valley. Can’t beat the value with 3 course menus starting from 12 euros to 18 euros. Excellent choice. Includes half bottle wine.

 TAPAS BAR (sorry don't know its name) in town opposite the entrance to the church, next to the Algas Port. Try the pinchos and the meatballs.

*LE DAUPHIN  96 649 0432 Portet bay Moraira  High price
Probably the best situated restaurant in Moraira, and maybe the Costa Blanca., overlooking Portet beach. Dine on the terrace in the summer with a fabulous views & a lovely sea breeze. The Swiss owners have a Michelin kitchen recommendation.  It’s quite expensive for Spain, but for the location, and the quality of the food, its actually rather reasonable.  About 60-70 euros a head for the food and the sky’s the limit for the wine. However you can buy nice quality wine for about 20-25 euros. There is no hard sell on the wine and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Well behaved children are often seen dining with parents.  

*VERD I VENT Jalon  a Bernia  965973413 Low Price fabulous value  French country cooking at its best & fantastic value. Booking a must(they do close for some time during August) 4 course set meal with local wine from the vats, about €15  Superb atmosphere, rookerty old building with high ceilings. Wonderful . Note only choice of 2 main courses nearly always both meat. If not a meat eater you can pre-book a fish meal but the standard of the fish not like the meat main courses. Head towards Jalon then take left at roundabout follow signs to Carretara de Bernia. About 35 minute drive. 

*LA LUNA Restaurant -  
Moraira town center near Bon Bon shop. 966490233 New kids on the block!. Very good food from 2 excellent young chefs.  For any occasion, breakfast lunch or dinner . Imaginative & beautifully presented Dinner menu.  Freshly prepared 3 course lunch menus for €12. or excellent choice of Sandwiches with a difference. Delicious salad menu. 4 course Sunday lunches. Good service , great wine. Valentines night special 3 course menu. New website with full daytime and evening menus www.restaurantelaluna.es

BONA TAULA Moraira . On Calpe rd near to Euro Gym .  High Price
Fabulous setting overlooking the sea. Excellent cuisine but very small portions. Quite formal, almost pompous.

CASA CANTO: Benissa 965 730 629 Mid price
Beautifully set,  good quality Spanish restaurant in Benissa. Good menus of the casa from €25 including nice wine. Just pull up outside and the doorman will park your car! At certain times of the year they will drive your car home,  so you don’t have to.

DEGUST/GRAN café  : Moraira town centre 96 649 0808 med-high price
A very good restaurant in a very good location. Brand new, ultra modern style ,only opened June 2007. Excellent food. Expect a bit of up-selling on the wine. Great atmos. Spanish owners.  About 50 euros per head

MARHABA Moroccan Restaurant Ctra Moraira-Calpe 219   Tel 965747095
Beautifully presented,delicious Morocan food in lovely setting (colourful tent) Excellent value with Del noche menu of 4 courses for 17.50 euros. Wines from 6 euros per bottle. 

LA NAYA - Benimarco Tel 96 574 7665 Low-mid price
Great value menu del dia's from €9 to €15 Good quality food served well in friendly atmosphere. Lots of choice. Half bottle of wine included in most menus. New British owners took over in January 2009. Nice spot, high up in Benimarco with lovely views.

BAZUL Indonesian Town center, next to Options. 965 743 381 Mid price. Great food. Rice table etc. Authentic. Very nice Dutch/ Indonesian owners

THE OLIVE TREE : Moraira  tel 96 649 0655   mid price
Good quality food and very nice décor. British owned. 3 courses with wine approx €25. Small menu and not very flexible (couldn’t make our steak with garlic as not on menu??)

EL JARDIN: Calpe 620148017 Low-mid price
Excellent home cooking from German lady chef. Very good value with welcoming ambiance and service. 

 *MASENA Restaurant Benitachell to Javea rd 96 579 3764 Mid price. Great for families. Excellent restaurant- decor, food quality and service. Food as good as the Dauphin, but the location makes it more reasonably priced. One of our favourites. Children are welcome. They even have an enclosed play area. No children’s menu but they are happy for you to share or make a half portion. Approx €50 per head with house wine. Well worth a visit at lunch as menu del dia available at approx 14 euros . A bargain . Full nearly every night of the week, even in winter. Must book. Fabulous furniture shop next door. (they will arrange transport of items to England)

AZORIN Restaurant : Javea Port area 96 579 4495 Great value typically Spanish eating house. Noisy, cheap and lovely home cooked food. Must, must book. 3 courses with wine is ONLY 9 euros!

XORTA  : GUADALEST 96 588 5187  low-mid price menu del dia’s
If you are planning a trip to Guadalest, then it’s a good idea to book a table either before you leave or on arrival in Guadalest in the morning. They are all typical Spanish. This one has nice views. window tables have lovely views). Easy to find.€20 per head

MESON DE REFUGIO : moraira town centre   low price
Good value Spanish meson. Nice family. You can get a lunch menu del dia for €12 Including wine. It’s tucked away. As you go down the main street towards to sea, it’s up the last little alley way on the left hand side.

BULL & BEAR : Benitachell near Moraira- 965058448-NEW* low price. Great value & quality 3 course traditional Sunday lunch for €14.95 but also offering excellent choice if you're not in the mood for a roast. Located in a most beautiful finca style building (formerly Buda bar)  with lovely terraces. Weekday lunches even more of a bargain as they include wine. Nice venue for family/special occasions/get-togethers.  Professional owners and good staff.

CASA PEPE : Moraira(Sabatera) 96 649 0144 Med-high price. Good for wine lovers. Beautifully appointed . Very modern/trendy cuisine.   You can dine outside in summer.3 courses is about €50-60 with wine

*L'Era Restaurant  Famous Paella restaurant in Parcent. Salad starter, fresh fruit dessert. They don’t offer much else. Chicken a la plancha or pork is available but you have to tell them  in advance or they will assume the whole table wants paella They don’t speak English). Fantastic, noisy, bustling atmosphere at lunchtimes.  A lovely drive through the Jalon Valley up to Parcent. 

ALAHUAR Hotel & Restaurant : BENMAURELL 96 558 3397
A bit of a drive inland, but worth it for the view. The hotel is 550metres above sea level. You could take a nice walk. Very peaceful. The food here is good value if you pick the  Menu del dia approx€15. The a la carte is somewhat overpriced . Traditional Spanish.   Head to Orba and follow signs for Vall de Laguar. Benimaurell and the hotel is literally at the roads end.

Excellent. Consistently good food & service.  It never disappoints. British owned. Near the beach. Intimate setting , stylish decor. OK for older children but not for the young ones. About €45 ph with good house wine. Must book

 *PASTA HOUSE  : Near Moraira center and MR car 966 491 898  low price
Very nice home made pasta and pizzas and beautiful salads. Service can be slow when busy as everything is freshly prepared, so be prepared to be patient. Excellent value. Take away available.

 RONDO : Benissa –Baladrar area 96 649 7107 British owned. Very good food. Nice romantic atmosphere. About€ 30  with wine included. (& very nice wine)

CHINESE RESTAURANTS in Moraira  All very cheap!!.
Some are all you can eat buffets, like WOK for 10€.

*SAPPORO – Japanese Calpe (next to the port) Tel 965836219 An excellent night out. Teipan show every night. Great fun for all the family. The kids just stare with wonder! Great food too. About 40 euros per with wine. (unless you want sushi which puts quite a bit on the bill) Stop press Jan 09- We now have a Japanese in Moraira, called SAMURAI with a teppan show. tel 965745459

Cala Iaia Tel 965741557 Excellent high class Spanish food. Very pretty surroundings. On the road going out of Moriara to Teulada.

 LAS BRISAS DE JAVEA Jesus Pobre rd nr Javea 96 579 4709 low-mid
Lovely venue, excellent value for lunch. Good for kids as they often have a bouncy castle or play area. Every type of food. British with a Spanish feel!

MONROES CARVERY 96 574 4114  low price restaurant close to town.
Excellent value roast dinners. 10-12e per head with house wine. Lunch times even cheaper. You can opt for meat with salad bar, if preferred.

*TERRA VINA Wine bar and cold tapas. Moraira town center near Royal bar-Just opened August 08. Excellent selection of wines by the glass and hams etc

MESON DE PACO Benitachell to Javea rd Low-med price 965790 485 Really typically Spanish restaurant. Very good food, good presentation and service. Menu del dia about €12 (no wine included) good value

*HIMALAYA- NEPALESE /INDIAN Portet Rd Near Moraira center 96 574 4980  Great food, very authentic. Cheaper than the other Indians in town, and better!About €20 ph  Lovely people.  Good value. Must book. take-aways

SCALLOPS of JAVEA : Javea Arenal 96 577 1488   Cheap as chips! And most meals come with chips! Can't argue about the value. Most wines include full bottle of house wine. If you can't drink it, they give you a takeaway!!

AXE BRAZIL_ Good value Great for Ribs/Chicken/steak. Now called the RIBS place. Town centre . Large portions

POLLO LOCO, Calpe rd. 96574 8360 Low price, great for Chicken, Steak & salads. Also have lovely soups. Dinner only
