BANKS - Open 9am to 2pm There are approx 15 banks in Moraira!Bancaja seem the most reasonable in terms of charges on your account. Most transactions are free. Also you can pay a £ sterling cheque into your euro account or sterling account and will only be charged €6 no matter how much the cheque is for. This beats by far some banks who charge a whopping 1% of the cheque value.

POST OFFICE - This is moving into the town centre, between the Banco de Valencia and Bancaja.

TAXIS - There is a taxi rank on the Avenida de Madrid in Moraira Village with a telephone available in case there is no cab waiting on the rank.

MARKS AND SPENCERS IN SPAIN- Did you know you can now order Marks and Spencers clothing and small households goods on line for delivery to Spain. M&S started this service in November 2008 . Delivery seems to be £10 per parcel so order a few things to make it worthwhile.

CHEMISTS - Main Pharmacy is in town centre near the Church. There is always one on duty on a 24-hour basis and every establishment has a list of the "FARMACIAS DE GUARDIA" displayed on the door. The best way is to go to the one closest and consult the list. If the shop which is "on duty" is closed you should ring the bell - but obviously for emergencies only!

MEDICAL CLINICS - These are usually privately run with English speaking doctors & nurses.  Usual fee for a GP consultation is 45 euros. CLINICA ASSITEL TEL   96 649 5006 Of course if an emergency & you have your UK medical card you can go to the Health Service doctor in Town (near the free car park) or the hospital in Denia which has an emergency dept. Remember , you can buy most pharmaceuticals over the counter in Spain (including antibiotics) and the Pharmacists here can be very helpful in choosing a medicine.

TOURIST INFORMATION CENTER MORAIRA -  965745168 We have a great tourist office, located in the Casa de la Por which is situated just out of Moraira village near to the "FISH" roundabout. The tourist centre opens in the morning.

INTERNET CAFES IN MORAIRA - There are 3-4 in town . Two are along the Kristalmar Tel 96 649 07 81. Los Limeneros/Lemon Tree Bar in c/Mar Norte has free wi fi access for those with laptops, as long as you buy refreshments.
